Interior: Mid-Century Hello
Client’s Requests: She felt a little stuck figuring out how to make her tiny entryway a place of relaxation and greeting. The rest of her home had been styled herself (beautifully, I might add) in a combination of mid-century modern, glam, and art deco. As long as it matched, she was happy.
I took from her existing color palette, added wood to the wall in the same color as the nearby kitchen space, and threw in the gold elements to tie glam all the way to the entrance.
Her biggest request was to add some lived-in clutter, but to otherwise err on the side of “clean surfaces”. Pairs of shoes and an old backpack found their way on the floor, but I opted to keep clutter very simplistic on the console itself.
