Interior: Greenhouse Kitchen

Client’s Requests: When she sat down in her overalls with floral details stitched along the edges, and daisies in her hair, I was charmed by her first request: “Can we stuff a kitchen full of plants?”

After some questions and answers, and a lot of playing around with different styles, it was determined that Modern Farmhouse was the style to adapt for her, with it’s cleaner lines and industrial touches, it would provide a more ‘clean’ look than anything shabby or rustic would. It would also allow the plants to shine more than they would in the other styles.

Originally the cabinets were meant to be either gray or a duck egg color, but after we both stood back and looked at it, it was determined that no — no they had to be green.

I hope she enjoys growing many more plants to come in this space.
