City of Portofino: A Break in the Park

I’m sitting in San Carlos Park in Portofino, California, which is right behind my townhouse. I can access it straight from my backyard, and I spend some downtime here every week. Sometimes, I come by myself; other times, I’m joined by my wife Rebecca or my twin brother Sparrow. On solo days, I either shoot some hoops or play a few rounds of solitaire to relax.

If someone else is with me, we usually head to one of the other games around the park or hit up the tennis courts for a friendly match. When the weather is nice—and it usually is, this being California—I also take the kiddos to the playground. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.
